CHRISTMAS ROCKS NATURE PRESERVE

Distance: 4-minute drive from the cabin

Highlights: Forested trails, scenic bluff overlooks and quiet solitude 
If you're looking for something more off-the-beaten-path, Christmas Rocks is perfect. We recommend the Jacobs Ladder Trail, which has breathtaking views at the top.

CLEAR CREEK METRO PARK

Distance: 8-minute drive from the cabin  
Trail Type: Varied – easy to challenging ranging from 0.3 – 11 miles 
Highlights: Dense woodlands, peaceful streams and scenic ridgelines 
Clear Creek is a quiet, less crowded spot with beautifully preserved natural terrain. Don’t miss the Barneby Trail for a quiet forest hike or the Creekside Meadows Trail for a gentler walk.

HOCKING HILLS STATE PARK

Distance: 34-minute drive from the cabin 
Overview: A must-see destination filled with waterfalls, caves, gorges and scenic rock formations. This is the heart of outdoor adventure in southeast Ohio, with multiple unique hiking areas all within a short drive of each other. 
Top Spots in the Park:

· Old Man’s Cave – A must-see trail with waterfalls, stone bridges and scenic rock formations 
· Cedar Falls – Gorgeous waterfall and moderate trails

MINK HOLLOW COVERED BRIDGE 

What to Expect: Nestled in a quiet area just minutes from the cabin, you will find a little piece of history, a beautiful covered bridge. The bridge spans Arney Run, a tributary of Clear Creek. If you are looking for other covered bridges, Johnson Bridge and Hanaway Bridge are also close by.
